The Women's Healing Network Inc. mission is to assist victims of domestic abuse by focusing on their inner strengths and encouraging self-development and empowerment through positive mentoring and awareness. Our philosophy is to equip, empower, and encourage women to make an investment in their healing, physical, and social well being.
Statistics reveal that domestic violence has become one of the most common of all crimes in the United States and it is on the rise. Every 12 to 15 seconds a woman is battered in this country. An estimated 4.5 million physical assaults and over 300,000 sexual assaults are committed against U. S. women by intimate partners annually (Extent, Nature, & Consequences of Intimate Partner Violence: Findings from the National Violence Against Women Survey, 2002).
